Personal, non-commercial limitation on use

The virtual library CESG and its related content is offered exclusively for personal, non-commercial use. It is not allowed to publish, redistribute, license or sell images, metadata or other content of CESG.

Use of images on non-commercial websites:

The use of images on non-commercial websites is permitted if a hyperlinked reference is made to CESG (for the proper format for the reference see below). Please send a link to your website for our information to prisca.bruelisauer@kk-stibi.sg.ch.
We reserve the right to refuse the use of our content in particular cases.

Use of images for non-commercial purposes outside the world wide web:

All images may be used for private, personal, educational and non-commercial purposes (especially for education, research and science). Please be sure to cite the source of the content used (for the proper format for the reference please see below). We reserve the right to refuse the use of our content in particular cases.

Use of images for commercial purposes:

Every form of commercial use (publications or advertisement in electronic or print media, company websites, etc.) of images or content made available by CESG requires a bibliographic reference and the prior written permission of the Abbey Library of St. Gall (Stiftsbibliothek St. Gallen). Uncompressed tiff images can be obtained from the Abbey Library of St. Gall (Stiftsbibliothek St. Gallen) for publications in print media. Please send a deposit copy of the article or publication to the address below. We reserve the right to refuse the use of our content in particular cases. Selling or republishing images or other content of CESG in commercial databases is prohibited.

Bibliographic Reference:

Bibliographic references should have the following form:
